My experience prior to founding hydramind
Over my career I have held positions in client organisations, software houses and marketing agencies. My roles have included software engineer, web developer, Digital Director, Joint Managing Director, Chief Technology Officer and I’ve held board positions for more than 15 years.
Here’s a flavour of what I’ve done:
Devised and implemented technology strategies
Designed and co-created the Real Platform which delivered fully automated, personalised CRM programmes for a number of clients including Cow & Gate and Aptamil mum & baby clubs, the largest mum & baby clubs in the UK
Led a highly successful (Econsultancy Top 100) digital agency including providing technology direction and agency growth strategy
Implemented automated business intelligence reporting using a variety of tools including PowerBI and Google Data Studio
Led the up-skilling of teams in new technologies including voice interfaces, chatbots and Adobe Experience Cloud
Delivered an ecommerce platform that provided the delivery of 1million promotional items during a Comic Relief campaign for Walkers Crisps
Designed and implemented an agency work management system, utilised to run day-to-day business for The Real Adventure for 15+ years
Ideated, designed, developed Printrbook, an Instagram photo book printing service
Designed and implemented the database component of the traffic management system at the Channel Tunnel terminals, plus designed the algorithm to prevent traffic lanes colliding
Provided software engineering support for Eutelsat satellite control system
Developed real-time bond and equity trading systems for BNP Paribas
